Give customers clear ways to pay.
Card processing runs through the Fractal Gateway. Banking and pay-by-bank are offered through SkyFi.
Confirm the payment methods, fees and system connections included in your implementation, with charges clearly explained before customers pay.

Where needed, bring delivery evidence and customer correspondence into the workflow to help resolve invoice questions.
03 / FRACTAL PAYMENTS
Confirm the connections and responsibilities.
Agree the supported systems, records and update direction, along with responsibility for onboarding, reconciliation exceptions and ongoing support. Implementation timing depends on the connections and requirements in scope.
04 / FRACTAL PAYMENTS
Understand your payment costs.
Compare payment methods using your actual volume, payment mix, effective fees and operating costs. Include implementation costs when assessing the first-year impact.
PAYMENT OPTIMIZATION / PROFIT IMPACT
Keep more of what you earn.
Start with two numbers. See how a change in payment mix can reduce costs and flow through to profit.
Same sales. Lower payment costs.
TOTAL ANNUAL RECURRING COST
Move 30% of card volume to bank payments: card share changes from 80% to 56%.
Added annual costs are included. First-year profit impact: $32,000, after one-time costs.

How the calculation works
- Connect the mix. Current card volume = annual volume × card share. The remaining volume is bank payments. Optimized card volume = current card volume × (1 − the share moved to bank).
- Compare the costs. Payment costs = card volume × effective card fee + bank volume × effective bank fee. Add incremental annual platform and operating costs to the optimized scenario.
- See the profit impact. Net annual savings = current costs − optimized recurring costs. Each dollar saved adds a dollar to pre-tax profit if revenue and other expenses stay the same. First-year impact subtracts one-time costs once.
Assumptions behind this estimate
Adjust the assumptions
Use effective rates that include your per-payment charges and method-specific fees. Enter extra recurring costs above. These are editable scenario assumptions, not quoted Nexus pricing.
Payment volume is money processed, not company revenue. No profit-margin percentage is assumed. This model excludes chargebacks, refunds, taxes, fraud losses, financing, pass-through fees, staff-time savings and working-capital effects. Caps, minimums and other fees are excluded unless reflected in your effective rates or added costs. Actual adoption and contracted terms determine your results.

FAQ
Fractal Payments and Checkout questions.
More answers on the FAQ page.
01What is Checkout?
Checkout is the starting app in Nexus Apps and the next generation of SkyOS and Fractal Pay checkout, built into Nexus. It is where payment acceptance connects to the rest of your workflow.
02How do I take payment in one place instead of several tools?
Checkout is designed to give your team one place to take payment, with invoicing, payment acceptance and reconciliation working as one connected workflow. The exact setup is confirmed when we map how you take payments today.
03Does a faster payment method fix slow collections?
Only when the delay was in the payment step. Many delays start earlier, with missing delivery evidence, unclear invoices or wrong customer references. Fixing the records first usually matters more than comparing processing rates.
